Just putting out a request for all our thrifting friends in the KW region.
Looking for gently used, small purses and/or fanny packs to take with me to Thailand in September.
Hoping for something around 20 x 20 cm or thereabouts. Preferably with a zipper or closure of some sort. Not too heavy. (I know, that's a lot of particulars.) If it has a Canadian symbol on it, that's just bonus!
This is part of the Bible Lessons Theme "In Style With Jesus" where we will be walking through Colossians 3:12-17 and 'putting on' compassion, kindness, humility and patience...and more.
The idea is that for each lesson they will receive something that can be worn (fun glasses, rings, socks, even a fake moustache). All of these will be put in the purse or fanny pack, and for our last night, we will have a fashion show.
I have already been able to gather most of the items, but now need to collect at least 25 purses or fanny packs at a reasonable price. Keeping costs down while ensuring a fun learning experience is always a challenge!
That's where you come in.
If you are already inclined to go thrifting, could you please check to see if there's something available for around the $3 or under mark. I am happy to reimburse you for anything under $3.00. And I'm always happy to receive such purchases as 'donations.'
If you do purchase something, please let me know at your earliest convenience so I can keep count and put the word out when we have enough.

Once you let me know, we can make arrangements for drop off, most likely at one point during the first week of August, or simply leave them in the designated spot at Highview in the small office downstairs.
